Leonardo table and Linea lamp in the heart of Brera and Italian Furniture

The Emilian company Oikos, designing chromomaterial ecosolutions, has promoted the “White in the city” project under the Fuorisalone, curated by Giulio Cappellini, or a path that painted Brera in two hundred shades of white, starting from the Pinacoteca and the Accademia and moving through the streets of worship in the design district par excellence, enlivened by the nightlife, to get to the more or less sacred places such as Palazzo Cusani and precisely San Carpoforo; white encloses the spectrum of all colors, symbolizes purity, generates harmony and well-being and was the protagonist of the Fuorisalone week.
The winning installation of the contest “Vote the best installation White in the City”, competitor with those of world famous architects such as Stefano Boeri, David Chipperfield, Zaha Hadid, Studio Libeskind, Studio Marco Piva and many others, placed in the central part of aisle, from the entrance to the apse, created thanks to a barrel vault with a pure breath of air vibrating like a breath; it was divided into two parts, in which the four thematic areas were recreated, creating the living spaces called “we live, work, play and stay”, delimited by furnishings, fabrics and accessories.
Involved numerous companies from Friuli, HMID, invited by ADI, the Association for Industrial Design, of which Barbara and Sylva are part, as they are part of DAS 16.8; HMID has contributed to the “working” section with two product lines, the Leonardo table and the Linea lamp, recreating a working space marked by liveability and well-being, where, thanks to the transparent cylinders hanging from the ceiling, we wanted to give specific weight , verifiable and palpable, to the volumes of air, to remember the need to breathe and live well, themes felt in the production of HMID.
Leonardo, in solid beech, suggests levity thanks to the two legs in tempered glass, while the Linea suspended lamp, from the solid walnut or oak walnut pendant, optionally, and a low voltage strip led that allows the renounce of unsightly electric cables, in addition to a grazing lighting.
Proud to have been protagonists of this prestigious showcase, comparing ourselves to the vast, varied and complex world of Italian design, and not only, after this award-winning public response, we came out stronger in the belief that we can play a particular role, in respect prince of our vocation and thanks to a conscious work over time.
