The renovation concerned an apartment located in the historical center of Udine, which was built towards the end of the fifties and was never renovated. The planimetric situation was characterized by thick and clear divisions of the spaces, which made each room rather narrow. In order to create a living and an open space, which was also strongly desired by the client, all the walls separating the entrance from the corridor, the kitchen and the living room were demolished, and the bathroom was completely reconstituted. The oak floors, laid in a herringbone pattern, have been polished and waxed, the cheap old floor covering has been replaced with light grey gres porcelain.
A perfect integration is thus achieved between living room and old kitchen, which has been substituted by a large peninsula. The proposed furnishing solution makes the space functional for cooking operations but at the same time for moments of conviviality.
The peninsula top in corian with integrated basin is very resistant, easy to clean, and pleasant to the touch. From the cooking space you can appreciate a wall decoration, tone on tone, handmade with a particular cement mortar.
To meet the needs of space and capacity hinged wardrobes have been installed and the kitchen column modules themselves have been inserted and integrated into the plasterboard walls.
The same plasterboard allows to obtain different light shades in the corridor, in the kitchen, and in the bathroom, thus creating a technical / functional lighting (lines of light and pendants) and an atmosphere (veils with indirect lighting).
Finally, the bathroom has a solid oak top with debarked side 180cm long, which supports two countertop basins with relative wall-mounted mixer taps. In front of them a large mirror opens the space. On the opposite wall there is the shower, consisting of a shower tray in teack wood, and a large fixed 160cm glass window.
The overall result is a very bright and welcoming space. The client: “Some areas seemed very small and cramped but after the renovation the space seems to us much bigger and gives the impression of more air”.
The renovation of the kitchen of “Villa Candussio” arises from the need to update the concept of kitchen according to today’s declination, where the kitchen becomes the central housing fulcrum. After a new functional layout, a k-proof stone table was installed, a hybrid working space and dining table, providing an illumination capable of maintaining the natural and artificial photodynamic […]
The apartment had previously been purchased “on paper” by our client. It is a property inserted in a building with three other residential units. We have therefore faced a project already drawn up to 90% in which we have included only a few minimal changes, such as obtaining for example a space in the corridor of the sleeping area, where we inserted a wardrobe. We enlarged the master bathroom and […]
In San Stino di Livenza, province of Venice, we realized an extension of about eighty square meters of a residential villa. The extension consisted in a new kitchen, a pantry and an outdoor pool. The owner Marco C. illustrates the job: “It was surprising to note that the final result was exactly the same as the futuristic rendering.
